The 02 Arena.

 

Introduction

A case study has been carried out to monitor the effectiveness of the Clean Zero Chemical Free Cleaning System, in the daily cleaning tasks carried out at the O2 Arena.

A Clean Zero 80 cabinet was installed on-site in November and since then regular monitoring and AdenosineTri-Phosphate (ATP) testing has been carried out.

In the three months since, Clean Zero has been used as the sole cleaning product for daily cleaning tasks, apart from a toilet de-scaler.

 

Performance

At the time of installation, four different areas were chosen to enable the performance of Clean Zero to be monitored on a regular basis by Adenosine Tri-Phosphate (ATP) testing.

As can be seen from the graph, a significant improvement in the cleanliness levels (reduction on ATP readings) were recorded over this period.

 

Cost Reduction

In addition to the performance increase, the implementation of Clean Zero has enabled the removal of four cleaning products: Stainless Steel Cleaner, Glass/Mirror Cleaner, General Multi- Purpose Cleaner and a Disinfectant Cleaner.

In the three months of September to November, these products equated to a cost of £1,105.00. Following the installation Clean Zero, these products have not had to be re-ordered, thus making a potential saving of £4,420.00 per annum.

Productivity Increase

Due to the decease in the number of chemical products used, a noticeable difference was made in the required time previously spent by the assistant manager in training the agency staff on the safe use and application of the cleaning products. This equated to approximately 2-3 hours per week, and thus enabled the assistant manager to spend this time on more productive tasks elsewhere.

There are other benefits in using the Clean Zero system as your main cleaning product in addition to time and cost savings, such as:-

Clean Zero provided increased levels of cleanliness, reduced training time and significantly cut chemical costs and therefore is the obvious choice for use as the primary cleaning solution for daily cleaning tasks carried out at the O2 Arena.
